Had one since before I got a smart TV. But the stream didn't hav the little cast symbol so I didn't try. Am I missing something? There have been a couple of other streams I wouldn't have minded casting. I could have used a HDMI but couldn't be arsed.

your other option is to HDMI from Laptop to BigScreen.

and you are right - depending on the media player sometimes CASTing isn't available.

I downloaded a browser app onto my smart tv and used that.It was a pain in the ass to type in the url but once it was up it went flawlessly.Some apps don't support casting to screen so you need to have multiple options.

Lol. Gigs-ette had a date yesterday when the game was being streamed (yes, I know, where's her commitment?) So I tried the same method to watch the replay with her today....no dice, I'm using the laptop/HDMI option.Couldn't even open the stream with vlc and cast it from my phone 🙄
