and got a yellow card...

So that's about 20K per try then, right?!

Which is good money if you can get it. But about half what he was getting in boganball.
Do you know why he moved to union Shasta?

Not really. But he said he didn't have his heart in AFL. I suspect GWS were quite happy to release him because he fulfilled his purpose as a "marketing tool" and, though he was doing OK at the game, they can invest his 1.4 mill better elsewhere.
I've always rated him as one of the best athletes in RL and I think he'll make the Wallabies in his first season. Hopefully he'll stick around until RWC. If not so be it.

Shasta I really hope that Folau isn't given a wallaby cap in his first season I find it to be very disappointing if he was just 'given' a call up to create a media circus or raise the profile of a particular match.
For me the prospect of him being a Wallaby without doing the hard yards In my eyes devalues the Wallaby Gold jersey and that is just wrong
Not in my books!
IMHO the gold (not yellow) jersey should be reserved for anybody who is good enough, regardless of background or time in the sport. If he's the best option in that position I have no problem with him starting.
In recent years, I'm afraid, that hasn't been the case.

Deans was at the game in tassie. Even though its just a preseason scrap i still think he will make a big impact for the tahs and possibly the wallabies. Personally i'd rather see him play at 13 if he is capable of defending there well enough. I think he will have a more impressive first season then sonny bill williams.
Let him find his feet first. 13 is a difficult position particularly in relation to defence. If he is as good as his publicity then he will grow into the position in time.
Pretty much my thinking, if it didn't come out like it. But I remember what he could do in RL. He's a great finisher, sure. But he's a big bloke, he's got great feet at the line but can also stand in the tackle and unload. If his defensive reads are up to it, I think he'll end up there. Time will tell.
