Thats tough.
I thought the ARU was supposed to be supporting grass roots etc. What the hell hapens to our $130 for watching tests in Perth.
We would be better of watching it on Fox or down JB'O and sending our money straight to our local clubs!

Be interesting to see how much of next year's Force vs Lions ticket sales come into RugbyWA coffers. Frankly RugbyWA should also put in a claim for some of the Royalties for Regions money, considering some 10,000 poms are coming to watch the Lions and will most certainly spend some cash in WA.

Again I will repeat that in order for rugby to grow it is imperative that Joondalup be admitted to prem status and if that means financial help is required then surely Rugby WA could lobby the ARU for assistance because this really needs to happen.It 's not helping their cause when people start bringing up the club's chequered past.They certainly have a hard task in front of them and I hope they can get some proactive people with vision to help them because there must be a huge number of schoolkids that walk away from rugby when they leave school up there and then everyone 's a loser.Before the usual's start crapping on bout us we have 3 ex joondalup players total in our ranks.Our name change is to be voted on at our AGM and could you please point out a member of the so called cheque book brigade I'd love to meet one

From a casual observers perspective, it would seem logical at this time to give Mandurah the opportunity to compete in Premier Grade rather than Joondalup. With Wanneroo and Wests in the mid to northern suburbs I wonder if there is any urgency to bring Joondalup in.

Should they be provided more time to stabilise themselves?

The next question that comes to mind is that if Mandurah is admitted, what would Rockingham's status become?

Interesting set of permutations but it sounds like the rugby community needs to bring some of these matters to a head.

That said I don't think WARU has helped them much by sticking them in numpty divisions, making it nigh on impossible to recruit decent players.

As was stated earlier, haven't they got to get 40 players without raiding other clubs? Dream on

As it stands Joondalups new facilities are not good enough for Prems. They have one pitch which is concave. They would have to move again, build another clubhouse, so why not let Joondalup stay as a junior club and start a new club from scratch. For a club that has 1st grade aspirations it's perplexing as to why they chose to move to the Arena. Perhaps there are valid reasons, but moving there and having their 2nd pitch 10kms up the road has done nothing, but harm their cause. However as I said previously they are probably fighting an up hill battle with those douchebags at WARU.

I watched the 3rd grade gold (Ned vs Kala) final and 3rd grade black (Mandura vs Curtin) and the quality in the Black division was streets beter than the gold. Was very impressed with Mandura off the field as well. All players dressed up in club shirts and ties! Don't see that form any Prem club!

It's a tricky one. You don't want to turn away kids that are keen to train and keen to play because you only have room for 1 team. But usually what eventuates, if you do have two teams, players get injured, lose interest and the 2nd team folds. I definitely disagree with senior clubs having 2 teams in one division.
