If they were looking for a bit of a different structure as a new entity they could possibly do worse than having Knuckles as "Rugby Manager" above the Head Coach, allowing the HC to focus solely on "match day" and the RM worry about the rest.

Their average crowds languish around 10000-11000. Imagine what they would be, if the Storm had a couple of bad years. Further, the "Storm" brand still has very poor traction in the Melbourne market, despite its fantastic on field results.

I think these issues, more than most, are the measure of the success of the CEO. On any objective view, I would say he has failed.
I don't think olympic park can comfortably hold more than 10-11k. They will get heaps more once they start playing in the new stadium.

    Olympic Park held 18,500

But according to a friend it was a horrible stadium. What do you expect of something built back in the 50's

I saw my first rugby match there... circa 1975; Victorian Schoolboys v British Schoolboys (free tickets coz our PE teacher was the Victorian coach).
It was crumbling apart back then.

I think most of its maximum stated capacity is standing with poor viewing.
