Smile Your top 5 rugby wishes for 2009?

Ok, it's a month late but there are some things I'm looking forward to this year so I'll be keeping tally of these!

    So what are everyone else's?

    Beige's Wish-List:
    1. Official announcement that MES will be redeveloped.
    2. Official announcement of a Super 14 revamp; whether it's an extended season, a new finals format, a 15th franchise or whatever - as long as it's positive.
    3. Rugby sevens makes the Olympics; October 2, Copenhagen is the time and place!
    4. Force makes the finals; just like every year of course
    5. Indonesia wins promotion to Division 2 of the Asian 5 Nations; ok it doesn't sound impressive but the union has only existed for 3 years!

Is it too much to hope that the ARU stops whoring out the Bledisloe Cup?

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

    1. Drop Goals only decide matches that are tied for any team.
    2. Penalty Goals do not feature in scorelines or match strategy for any team.
    3. Multi phase Tries are a feature all season and kick and chase is minimalised (especially by Drew).
    4. Australian teams finish: Force-QR Reds/Brumbies-Waratahs.

    1. EWF win the Super 14!!! (This would really give me some juice against a certain South African I happen to see around town from time to time!)
1(A).. ok #2: USA Eagles win some meaningful matches and crack the top 15 in the IRB rankings..
    3. Ireland win the 6 Nations
    4. Ulster shock the world and move to the top of the Magner's League
    5. That I find gainful employment in Somewhere in the Southern Hemisphere, just so I can take a look-see, play on an over-35 side somewhere..

Well, I believe that #1, and maybe..#3 could happen.. as for 2, 4, and 5, well, they're called wishes for a reason!

Hey Thunderchook, don't sell yourselves short, the Eagles have often been in the top 15 since the rankings commenced, normally fighting it out with the Canucks and Romania for 13-15. A couple of wins will get you back up from 19th pretty quick, it's fairly fluid in the 13-21 postings.
