    Great signing! He has to be the second best openside in New Zealand. He's got leadership experience with the JABs. Considering there was talk of Ben Gollings being the new recruit (why would you get an English fly-half?!) it is a great about face. He'll make a nice addition to the Reds pack. Perhaps not with the courage of Croftie but definitely makes up for that in skill and technique.

    yes he is the marquee signing, confirmed by both the ARU and QRU, there is no other possible way he could have signed with the Reds.

    The Reds still have one foreign postition available for a player from another country who has not represented the national side in 7's or XV yet.
