new Blindside Flanker for the Tahs?

With the departure of Rocky Elsom and Dan Vickerman, the Tahs are facing a dearth of tall timber to lead them to the title in 2009.

I've been scouting around and reckon I've found the perfect person to sign up as a blindside.

He's 195cm (6'5"), 102kg, got mongrel on tap, extremely athletic, and certainly not the first player of another code to come across to the Waratahs.

What's more, he's unwanted by his current club, already in Sydney, has a very high profile so would bring a whole lot of new fans across to rugby, and O'Neill would likely sign on as he'd get that Gorilla off his back.

    I give you Barry Hall.

Don't know why but that picture reminds me of Shrek!

He'd probably be good at taking the ball in the lineout, all that overhead catching practice would be worth something, but how would you deal with the shoulder charges? TimTam's hassles would be nothing by comparison.....There's also the whole getting used to being sent off issue, In GayFL he can knock out everybody who's beating him to the ball and play the entire game, only suffering a suspension (win the game, be replaced for the penalty) in Rugby he belts some gut and his team play one down for the match, I can see it would mean a significant change in playing style.

There's also the fact that Jargan would be faced by a moral dilemma!

I had to make his head extra big to cover Will Caldwell's gargantuan melon. I know the neck is still dodgy, but the best I could do with MS-Paint...

Getting used to wearing sleeves is another challenge for warabazza, but one that he'll be up to.

I figure he'd be in the Bakkies Botha mold of player, shoulder charges, random king hits and getting sent off are all part of the package.

He'd be a handy kicker as well.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

So now we have Ali Williams kicking game combined with Bakkies Botha's mongrel... sounds awesome.

Unseen's right though, we'll have to teach him to tackle.

Barry won't need to tackle. He'd just growl at the player with the ball and they'd drop it.

Hang on. He's not playing AFL is he.

    Crap.

Lot's of hard work............ not worth the hassle.
