Die Vodacom Bulls se Springbokskrumskakel Fourie du Preez is terug in die span as kaptein vir Vrydagaand se wedstryd op Loftus Versfeld teen die Brumbies.
Du Preez se handbesering het ten volle herstel en weens sy insluiting in die beginspan sal die jong belowende Francois Hougaard een van twee agterspeler-reserwes op die bank wees.
Die afrigter Frans Ludeke het Morné Steyn weer op loskakel gerkies en dit beteken Wynand Olivier en JP Nel gaan weer langs mekaar in die middelveld diens doen.
Derick Hougaard het 'n abses in sy boudspier wat septies geraak het en om dié rede sal hy nie teen die manne van Canberra kan speel nie. Sy plek op die bank word deur die Vodacomspan se losskakel Burton Francis ingeneem. Francis is steeds `n junior wat `n reuse bydra gelewer het in die Vodacomspan se sukses.
Daar was vroeër kommer dat Nel, wat sy hand teen die Waratahs beseer het, nie sal kan speel nie, maar hy sowel as Bryan Habana (enkel) en Pierre Spies (skouer) het die groen lig van die mediese span gekry.
Ludeke het Dinsdag by Loftus op die weeklikse perskonferensie gesę dat hy 'n groot aanslag van die Brumbies verwag juis omrede hulle nog in die wedloop vir 'n plek in die halfeindstryd is.
"Die Brumbies is 'n baie trotse span en hulle hou daarvan om die bal in hand te hou. Kontinuďteit is die sleutel tot hul spel en hulle slaag daarin om die bal deur 'n hele aantal fases te vat, maar dit is interessant om te merk dat hulle al hoe meer die afgelope twee jaar begin skop het."

The Vodacom Bulls' Springbok scrumhalf Fourie du Preez is back as captain of the team for Friday night's match at Loftus Versfeld against the Brumbies.
Du Preez's hand has recovered fully and as a result of his inclusion in the starting XV the young promising Francois Hougaard will be one of two backline reserves on the bench.
Coach Frans Ludeke opted for Morné Steyn to wear the number 10-jersey against the Brumbies which means that Wynand Olivier will again play in the midfield alongside JP Nel.
Derick Hougaard got an abscess in his gluteus muscle over the weekend and it got septic through the course of the last two days and that opened the door for the Vodacom Cup flyhalf Burton Francis to be on the bench for the match against the Brumbies. Francis is still a junior who played a major role in the success of the Viacom Team.
There were some concerns that Nel, who injured his hand against the Waratahs, will not be able to play, but he as well as Bryan Habana (ankle) and Pierre Spies (shoulder) got the green light from the medical team.
Ludeke said at the weekly press conference at Loftus on Tuesday that he is expecting a tough onslaught from the Brumbies especially for the reason that they are playing for a spot in the play-offs.
"The Brumbies is very proud team and they like to keep the ball in hand. Continuity is the key to their game and they are able to keep the ball through a number of phases but they started to kick more in the last two seasons."
