A lot of what I reckoned re last week seems to be relevant again....
"With the territory and possession we had, notwithstanding the tenacious defence of the Cheetahs, we should not have been in that position. We were in the red zone many a time but just could not strike the killer blows (as say a Crusaders side or the Brumbies of old might). Still, our patience is better this year and we are more than happy to build the phases.
Sometimes I think we lack creativity in attack and the new laws mean that defence is crucial, and defensive lines have performed like those in rugby league. We need to break down the opposition defensive structure by more than just the pick-and-drive or one-out runner. I like Cross' little grubbers behind and chip kicks used astutely. We can't be too ponderous at the breakdown - the Kiwi sides will murder us with their counter-rucking..."
I agree Daruda hasn't got used to the pace fo Super14, but he will. Cross brilliant, and Cummins again impressive - I wonder if Sare could have performed nearly as well...
Todays super rugby liftout says that the Lions claim that the attendance at the game was 6050??
Yeah right
That's still a pretty piss poor turn out to a first class game of rugby. Disappointing stuff!
I made Happy sad...
Didnt we beat that a couple of time during the ARC last year??
Nope, biggest Spirit game was around 5 thousand and something.....we did beat the four thousand and some odd they actually had at the ground though!
C'mon the
Hi all
I'm new here and would like to say that Western Force will have to play much better than they did against the Lions if they are to have any chance against the Crusaders this coming weekend. That was a poor game. I would love to see the Force pull off the win but those Crusaders and Blues are looking so strong. Will be a very tough battle. I am very much looking forward to seeing this game.
Go the Force!!
Cheers all
