MELBOURNE Rebels coach Rod Macqueen regards the jersey his players will wear in the club's first Super 15 season as special and "unique".
The jersey is branded with the five-star pledge made by everyone at the club.
"There are a lot of blue teams around, and blue and white, but there are no teams that have five stars on their jumper, that's our point of difference," Macqueen said.

A debut season with the worst jersey in the history of Super Rugby - well done. Even our current away strip looks better.
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David

That jersey is terrible. Not even the Melbourne Victory would wear that
As much as I rag on the ARC incarnation of the Melbourne Rebels they should have just stuck with that jersey...

Why the hell do the Rebels want to be blue anyway? Go green or brown or some other colour that isn't being used by everyone else.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Worst jersey ever
coz Stone Cold says so
they went blue because it is the state color for there sporting teams, have a look at the AFL, Cricket and Football team, they all have the dark blue in there uniforms.
Its a bad photo and additionally its not exactly the perfect fitting jersey,i reckon with the full outfit it will look much better.
Maybe those stars light up in a tackle. if it's a big hit then all 5 light up so the conditioning team can give them a bit more lovin at 1/2 time. I reckon it would be funny if the top of Mortlock's head lit up too but that's just getting silly....
[Beer & crisps......the pre-season diet of choice
I'm glad it's not ours!
It looks like it's trying to be something else, like when people wear a t-shirt painted as a tuxedo.
And navy blue is not Stirling's best colour.
