Wallabies' spring tour Tests to air on SBS
Warren Barnsley - AAP on November 11, 2016, 8:59 am
SBS has given fans in Australia the chance to witness the Wallabies possibly complete a rare spring tour grand slam.
The network will broadcast on free-to-air television Australia's November 19 Test match against France at Paris' Stade de France and another against England at Twickenham on December 4.
If Australia remain undefeated on the tour, they could achieve a first grand slam since 1984.
The England match is highly-anticipated given Australia was whitewashed 3-0 by the English on their home territory in June.
Pay TV network BeIN Sports secured the rights to cover Australia's win in Wales last weekend, as well as this weekend's clash with Scotland in Edinburgh and a Test against Ireland in Dublin on November 26.
But fans without pay TV were looking at being shut out of the other matches until SBS stepped in.
"SBS is pleased it can bring the very best of world rugby to Australians free-to-air," SBS director of sport Ken Shipp said in a statement.
It is not the first time the broadcaster has filled a gap left by commercial stations in Australian sports coverage.
In 2005, SBS televised an enthralling Ashes cricket series between England and Australia where the home side took the urn for the first time in 19 years.

Hopefully it will be advertised enough so that a maximum amount of people will get the chance of watching the game
When SBS cover sport they generally do a bloody good job.
Good on them for taking on the rugby.
I'll be watching! I remember when SBS did the Ashes cricket , it was great and I wish they could do more of it
I clean my bike once a year due to SBS coverage of the Tour
I assume they will just take the feed from BEIN and maybe have their own presenters here in Australia for pre-game etc.
Anyone know of a good sports bar in Ho Chi Min that might be showing the game?
