The absolute worst that can happen from a Force point of view is the ARU board will be under the microscope and incredible pressure from other clubs into how they dosh out the millions. They will have trembling hands when the VRU ask for a 'loan' or additional funding. I am sure the VRU will be insolvent over the next 6 months with all of the coaches, staff and general day to day running of a club starts to bite.
The ARU will use that as an excuse to keep the Rebels afloat and use the excuse of the SANZAAR deal that they have to uphold (4 teams).Do the Rebels have a front of Jersey sponsor for 2018?
More great work Alison. I don’t know how you manage all that and keep your full time job going.
Catch up soon.
May the FORCE be with you!
Just rang the 6PR some commentary may occur after 8.30am on the radio station. I am disappointed that it’s not talked about through out the day. Could only imagine the commotion it would cause if it was any other state team. Grrrr!
Was Bill pulver charged? When he didn't want to answer the question about comparative growth in junior participation rates, he deflected and waffled until the senators gave up. It was like watching the caapatain of a rugby team with a 2 point lead given a penalty on the wrong side of halfway taking as long as he can to decide to kick, then the tee being lost, then the kicker taking his fully allotted time only to kick the ball wide of the posts

Let me offer some defence for Ross Xenos. RUPA have lobbied extremely hard for 5 teams. Their biggest mistake was siding with the VRU to call the last EGM and then have QRU, NSWRU etc vote on 4 teams. They did not plan well at that EGM. Ross has advocated 5 teams all along and argued that shrinking to greatness is stupid. He would not choose between us and Rebels in my conversations with him, BUT wanted a full investigation into the money trail and back room deals. Sadly, with the Wallabies on the nose in the June series, he said any loud vocal objections, strikes, boycotts etc would be seen by the public as Players being precious. Believe me he has been here when the axe did fall after the appeal, he has been here talking to players - not sure what he said to them but his presence indicated to me a man of priniciple.
Thanks for that. Interesting bit here:
"Last month, in the initial hearing in Canberra, former Force GM Mark Sinderberry suggested that Clarke had given the commercial in confidence document to VRU prez Tim North (so says rugby.com.au)."
I knew it was held east of Perth but I didn't think it was that far east.

Great work Alison, you're a Champion for our cause. Thank you![]()
Nice work Alison, the 7:30 presents a lot of what is a the heart of the senate enquiry, hopefully the public are a little more informed on what has been going on. Keep up the great work.

While I am getting the popcorn ready I have noticed the NSWRU have made a submission. This gets even juicier
Senator Reynolds - "In my view the ARU has been a dismal failure as guardians of the game."
