After having read all of the comments and in my mind agreeing and disagreeing I say give the man a chance to either prove us wrong or right.
You never know he could end up as the player we actually need to cover some positions.
The last time I saw him play I did not think he was all that bad , he made a play and as Gerry said if it came off he would have been the hero of the day.

We should worry less about SNK and more about who our new coach will be. We have a makings of a highly competitive backline (in 2 years probably). Lots of very promising U20s- Justin Turner, Sias Ebersohn, Winston Stanley. A couple of very promising League U20s in Tupou and Rapana. We need someone who can turn that into a competitive backline and get succession planning going so that we don't end up in the horrendous state of affairs we were in in 2010 when half our backline had left.

One day soon a contentious recruiting decision is going to pay dividends. I think that given what's on the supermarket shelves at present SNK is a fair proposition:- 50 0dd super matches, a TWO Test Wallaby, overseas experience (admittedly some not so good- but if he can learn and develop from mistakes even better), motivation to succeed, and, the best bit, he totally pissed Lote off!

Isn't there a saying/cliche which suggests you can't soar with eagles if you are surrounded by turkeys and have an anvil strapped to your leg?

After some serious introspection, a perusal of all opinion in this thread, and viewing all footage of his career ( namely team mate Tuqiri shoving him against Force), I have come to the conclusion that anyone with the word "Norton" in their name must have something going for them.

I have had may say but now that he is signed he is a member of the Force and I will wait with baited breath for next year a pray that the team that is put together can play to the potential that we all know they are capable of.
It will be great if we are at least in contention (beat the Reds) and win our home games which is probably more important for the team at this time.

Was wondering who the recruiter was who was responsible for getting the signatures of Pocock and O'Connor and is he still around? Or was this Mitchell's doing?

I know they were unproven but still they were obviously extremely talented and we did well to get them ahead of the other teams
