man, we need more rugby, right now!
"There aren’t too many other coaching options around, and it is doubtful Michael Cheika will ever return to Moore Park after he was dudded by the Tahs a few years ago. So with that in mind I think Foley deserves another year."

Scott Johnson favoured to coach Western Force
Bret HarrisJune 08, 2012*6:00PMFORMER Wallabies assistant coach Scott Johnson has emerged as the front-runner for the vacant Western Force head coaching job.It is understood the the Force is seeking a head coach with experience as a backs coach. The Force has a strong forward pack, but its backline play has been lacking.Johnson, who is currently Scotland's backs coach, will face competition from former Ireland head coach Eddie O'Sullivan.Former Stade Francais coach Michael Cheika is believed to be out of the running.“We have compiled a short-list of candidates and we will be conducting interviews over the next couple of weeks with a view to appointing a coach by mid-July,” Force chief executive Vern Reid said.If the Force fails to reach an agreement with Johnson or O'Sullivan, it is understood John Mulvihill will re-emerge as a contender.Read more
If true ... Oh dear Vern yet again your perception of world class coach is out of sinc with world rugby.. Perhaps you want the franchise to sink, perhaps you don't care or perhaps it's ineptitude - perhaps you need to take an honest look at your tenure and if your committed to rugby in WA start demonstrating some ambition
Don't look now garfiep but that article is a rehash of old news seasoned with the journos opinion that Cheika won't take the force job because he's being offered the tahs job. There is nothing of substance there that hasn't been in the news for a month (that being the quote from Vern that they are conducting interviews and will announce something in July) it is a Bret Harris article after all and he's always tried to drive the agenda with his slipshod reporting. He has also been prominently anti force since their inception. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could spit him.
That being said, mid June is very near and I'm getting pretty antsy waiting for an announcement.
C'mon the![]()

Only thing I've got to say - again - is; lets get the usual 20/20 hindsight experts around here on record. Most have not posted an opinion. Who would YOU pick from the candidates available. That's ALL the board has to work with. Easy to demand a top liner. Not so easy if most aren't available.

Campese for coach
You can scratch my back with a hacksaw!
Rolf Harris.
I would be very happy with Scott Johnson coaching the Force.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
