OK, cards on the table, it's a slow day at work and I'm sitting, bored, looking up stuff on the interwebs trying to keep myself awake.
Imagine my surprise when I came across this little gem
ahem, WHICH FREAKING CROSS-TASMAN DOMINANCE??????
Australian rugby teams a currently sitting on 1 win out of 7 in cross-conference matches. This "dominance" is 1 match in a row!
Sure they've had a couple of wins against the Sunwolves, but, since they are in the Australian conference they don't even count as a win vs an international team! certainly not "cross-tasman"
Moreover, what chance do you think the Rebels have of a win against the Highlanders? zero? can you measure probability as a negative? the Melbournian's pack is brittle, fragile, virtually doesn't even turn up at the stadium, they're no chance. and with the Brumbies on a bye and nobody in the Australian conference playing an in-conference derby, there is a very real chance that they'll be leaving the weekend with precisely zero wins.
I'm sure the paper-sellers in Sydney will spin the living shit out of the slightest single positive on the weekend (maybe Kurtley Beale will make a tackle, stranger things have happened)
that being said, I will have the Rebels' game on the box, in the hope of again seeing Deegan and Orr pitting their skills against Super Rugby quality opponents.
C'mon the![]()

Maybe stupidest Rugby claim but In a world where Scotty from Marketing is still PM with the current Liberal Party corruption its probably well down the list.
Oh well, at least I got a laugh out of that.
In saying that; still have not watched a SR match. But after some of the comments here, I watched most the Rabble mini replay. Deegs & Lowrens did good as did most of our ex players. It was weird TBH, first time I've watched and I was happy to see them doing well. But then reality kicked in and I didn't finish watching. I won't bother again.

I've watched a couple of Kiwi derbies but not much else.

Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
Looks like the Rabble found that mongrel in Dunedin . But are looking a lot like like they won't be able to hang on to it much longer.
