For the record.
I will always support the Force.
I will probably attend Western Sydney WSR matches tho.
I will definitely contact Mideroo to see if I can remain a member of the Western Force yet get seats to Western Sydney home matches.
My biggest concern is the support of the Penrith Emus by Andrew Forrest. The Penrith Emus are a basket case. Whilst they did have money problems. The biggest issue was their inablity to meet the Shute Shield Players Requirments. That is putting 7 teams on the paddock (4 seniors and 3 Colts teams) week in and week out. The Big teams of the Shute Shield. Randwick, Sydney Uni et al continually poach any player from Penrith that looks like they can play.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Yeah great presser.
It's hard to hear Nick Taylor's questions (I assume it's him) but there is one classic, asking Ian how he can talk so much without taking a breath. Brilliant. Anyone who has spoken with our captain knows exactly what he was on about. Tim has a laugh too.

I hope they aren't losing sight of the original ethos of WSR. The intent as first espoused was that it would be a new approach, tying the professional team to development in the local game across all of men's, women's and sevens rugby. Not sure how any of that is going to happen if an Islands team is located in Sydney and the local amateur side is aligned somewhere else completely.
That's a good point, and I wonder whether they could secure World Rugby funding if the team doesn't play in the islands?
Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
My comment above re tautology was not entirely smart-arsery. The PI population in Western Sydney is huge. The Mungos are having tremendous success with their PI teams with almost all players based in NRL or State Cup teams. There is a load of talk about raising the Tonga team to Tier 1 status. They are hugely popular in the islands too. WSR can for sure include some Island domiciled players but obviously they would need to base in Sydney for the season. I get the part about development in the PI. But the big opportunity AF is looking at is in Western Sydney and the possibility of redirecting some kids there away from Rugby League into WSR.

As predicted - an absolute cracker of a game.
Is this just a hint of things to come in 2019?
Some fantastic camera work.
Enjoying the change of angles and close-ups.
