I don't think we've got a chance of signing West - not unless the All Blacks decide to change their policy and pick from players outside NZ. He might not get an AB jersey this year, but next year after the World Cup exodus I think he'll be next in line.

Absolutely agree, Alby seems to me to be exactly the sort of player you want in and around your team. He wants to be here and is a huge asset, his only problem being that he's a marquee that has already been extended once. I think they'll struggle to get him extended again with two players vying for the bench.
What if he becomes an Aussie![]()

About Alby becoming an Australian Citizen....
As a New Zealand citizen your eligibility for Australian citizenship depends on whether you arrived in Australia before or after 26 February 2001.
I just scraped in by 25 years!

Got some mail last night that leads me to contradict something I had eluded to above, in that Sias could be released. Apparently the "concussion test" against the Tahs was "voluntary" because he had cracked the shits, not sure if it was the way he felt his team mates were playing or because he was being targeted by the opposition, will need to look back at a replay. In which case Burto will be moved to a permanent Fly Half role which I don't mind at all as long as he plays the NRC in that position to build on combinations.

While he has moments of brilliance and his long range kicking isn't too bad I would prefer to see someone else in the 10 jumper.
I haven't seen Luke play 10 but if he can play that position for the Aus under 20's then he's doing ok.
had a quick review of the footage. He does cop a shoulder/elbow from Horne off the ball. Seems legit. He is not the biggest Rooster on the paddock so cant really complain if he was hurt. Nothing really to indicate from his body language or talking to others that he was unhappy before that.
Irrespective of that is he is unhappy this is not a good thing. Might be other rumblings re tactics etc. that we don't yet know about.
Non sunt multiplicanda entia sine necessitate
He seems like such a placid character that if he did crack the sh1ts he must be very very unhappy about something. That's not a good sign at all.
