This year the WF only bring 2 game plans to each game. 1 good and 1 bad, it's a shame they use both on the same day.

The game was lost in the first half far to many missed tackles. The second half was a lot better, Got the bonus point try, But imo we need a club clean out, Bring some different coaches in some more money to attracted some high rated players. I don't think that we can blame Foley he's the best thing that happen to us.

It comes across as snide...that any decent player couldn't possibly be Australian. But even then, it was really more just surprise that someone else had noticed too.
Are you really that worried about a commentators comments on a players birthplace
Generally when a commentator has nothing decent to say about what is said on the field he would digresse to try and keep the viewers interested it's his job
Is it his fault he can't comment on the quality of the game as the 2 worst teams in the comp battle out for the wooden spoon
Is it better he says the force are shit and can't even compete with a crap blues
Get over it and get behind sacking the coach before the people of WA have no team to follow as I think the ARU would take a submission from Tasmania to enter a franchise

No matter how you try to rationalise those comments, they still come across as crass and snide. He's a serial offender no matter which Aus franchise he's aiming at. Nisbo is not a lot different.

In any event it's still got FA to do with the rest of your rant. Hopefully the ARU will not be crying that the sky is falling and has a little more vision than you are giving credit for. Hopefully they will be looking at the achievement of at least one of Foley's and Sinderberry's mission statements - to develop local players. Hopefully they will be looking at what they can do to help continue progress of a Rugby nursery in WA that can provide more than the 10 locals who have worn the jersey this season. It's disappointing to watch so many losses, sure. But these young blokes have been thrown in at the deep end and are trying their guts out IMO. What needs to happen is for the authorities to take a leaf out of the AFL's book and facilitate getting some experienced creative players around them to help them come on. Nobody learns by getting flogged all the time. My opinion of the coaching staff? Can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.

From Rugby365 review of the match "The Force had enough possession to be competitive but suffered from too much indecision with their lines of attack and relentless drives close to the line inevitably ended with turnover." The article is here.

I haven't seen the match yet; was out watching suburban rugby yesterday afternoon.

After round 1, this season makes me think Cheika was right in his summation of that round 1 game; that his players didn't turn up to play.

How come we can play when the chips are down? Even if the Blues did take their foot of the pedal. Passes were crisper, quicker people running onto the ball with intent.
Sorry this will piss of some but the best part of that game was the END.
The Blues kicked 14 from hand against our 22.

34 Missed tackles again - after the 32 against the Chiefs. The rushing up/leaving the line in defence STLL not working - not surprising - seems that the guys not trusting each other again.

3 from 13 Lineouts lost (4 from 13 against the Chiefs). We're missing Sam and Adam.

Nathan Charles is off his game - his overall stats nearly as sad as the HB. Averaging only 3 carries for 3m gain, and 5 tackles at 76% per game. The lowest impact of all Hookers in Aussie teams.
He has no chance of making the RWC squad.

40% success from kicking for the posts - 60% against the Chiefs - just helping to stifle any momentum and reward from our good possession and territory.

YC proving costly again as per game against Chiefs.
Blues made 2 converted tries while DHP in the bin and another within 1 minute of his return.

Last year's solid defence has been missing in 2015.

Sharing everybody's frustration while in the UK!!
BUT still hopeful of some wins at home.
Back in Perth for the Reds game.

I think that the time is fast approaching for long suffering fans (and their wallets) who will be demanding some honest open explanations on what the hell is going on in the coaching scene at the Force. To have had such a bizarre about turn after last season is pretty hard to digest, in fact it's getting rammed well and truly down our throats. How on earth can a team play like schoolboys one minute and then score 4 tries? They play absolutely terrible one minute and then moments of brilliance the next. And I don't like rubbishing players but Sias is killing us with the kicking, he seems terrified of running into attack and as a 10, he seems invisible a lot of the game. The cross field box kick has been done to death now, is that the only creative game plan we have? Getting very angry and frustrated now?

I think its about time the team stepped out with an apology to their members. It's high time they got a total kick up the ass. People who want to sugarcoat the lads need to wake up. They're playing like fucken dogs. NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!

Well no actually! The pecking order is:
    Championship Points, then
    Number of wins, then
    Points difference

So the Reds are still above us despite an inferior PD.

    SIGH!

Official App full table is wrong. Interestingly, the conference table is correct.

WESTERN FORCE BEATEN BY BLUES IN AUCKLAND

The Western Force has completed its two-match New Zealand tour with a 41-24 loss to the Blues at Auckland’s Eden Park today.

After leading 10-0 towards the end of the first half, the Blues scored three tries in 10 minutes either side of half-time – with Force reduced to 14 men following a yellow card to Dane Haylett-Petty – to open up what would be a match-winning lead.

The Force rallied to put on four tries of their own in the second term and record their second four-try bonus point in as many weeks, however, it was not enough to cover the eventual 17-point margin.

Captain Matt Hodgson was again in the thick of the action throughout the match and crossed for his second try in as many weeks, while scrumhalf Ryan Louwrens marked his first start in the run-on side with a try of his own in a solid performance.

The Force returns to Perth to take on the NSW Waratahs at the ‘Force Field’ (nib Stadium) on Saturday, 9 May.

Tickets to Western Force’s next home match against the NSW Waratahs on Saturday, 9 May are now available! Visit www.ticketmaster.com.au.

WHAT THEY SAID… Michael Foley, Western Force Head Coach
“What’s let us down on this tour is some of the areas in the physical side of the game – defence particularly. I thought our breakdown in the first half just stopped us capitalising on possession we had in the 22. We came out in the second half, we really fired into it and we opened up some chances. It’s a lesson for us when you play the sort of sides that have dangerous players, like the Blues, that you just can’t give them those cheap chances.

“To score four tries in a half of footy is good for us and we’ve shown that two weeks in a row against sides that don’t necessarily leak a lot of tries. The Blues are a good defensive side and the Chiefs are probably the best defensive side in the comp, and we’ve scored eight tries in two games.”

Gotta say the guys coming off the bench had impact - Heiberg Brache and Junior made good metres. Like he said they were too soft the 1st half, got smashed at the breakdown till it finally twigged to step it up.
