My poor trike has just been in for a "service" not once but twice to a certain establishmentit went in purrrrring like a kitten..but I thought it needed an oil change etc ..as you do.. it came out like a bag of bolts and I didn't even make it home.. had it towed back to the establishment, and it came out even worse...but this time I did make it home..
I need someone to fix it... the awful grinding noise (like metal on metal) is coming from the front end.. can someone please help or put me onto someone who can..![]()

As painful as it might be, you will be better off taking it back to the same place again. Give them the chance to put it right.
Otherwise you could well end up paying a lot more to someone else to fix the mistakes.
Unless you have completely lost faith in them.
Front end "grinding" could be any number of things, depending on where exactly the sound isccoming from, and what kind of noise it is.

Can we possibly name and shame the establishment?
If you do want to go to a new place, I have a NoR mechanics in the extended family - I could ask...
actually, thinking about it, if it uses a Volkswagen engine (like about half the trike I know) I can't think of much in the front of the motor that you want making ugly sounds. It's all crankshafts and conrods forward of about halfway. On the bright side, of it IS there, it probably has very little to do with your recent service (unless they did a complete rebuild in which case I would wonder about spun bearings or something really serious.
Of course I'm only an amateur and not confident enough to do much more than oil changes, but I hope it's not the front of your engine!

Don't know much about v dub engines I'm afraid.
But front of engine (bearings/rods/etc) vs front of trike (suspension/brake pads/wheel bearings/etc) is more what I was getting at.
Good luck with it Hertryk, sounds like there are a few suggestions for decent mechanics if you can't face going back to your original one.

Yeah, my post was more of a 'hoping it's front of trike' thing, rather than adding any thing of value to the thread. (I seem to do that a lot)
