Always going to get one of those while you allow us to bet on both outcomes with 1g each way, your taking all the risk while the punter can hardly lose (isn't that right Jedi?)?Originally Posted by travelling_gerry
But in all seriousness (is that a real word, or is it just something i'm not familiar with!) I think the book provides more challenge if you have to nail your colours or vcolours on one outcome, any fool can bet on both sides to win and the draw![]()
Who are you calling a fool, Flattie? It was canny vgambling!Originally Posted by Flat-top

I am not sure you are right there Flattop....if Australia had won you would have won 125 v points and lost 500 on the Ospreys for a net loss of 375 points.
In this book the Vbookie lost 1560 points because he is kind and generous on the odds for the underdog
Just found out we lost! I thought the game was tonight. Im gobsmacked!
Of course you are right Gerry but what I mean is that although I bet 1000 and am allowed to bet on both outcomes I have two possible scenarios. either as you say I have a net gain of 2000 or a net loss of 375. While this is available I would be foolish even when my instinct is for the Ospreys to win not to cover some of my risk by betting on Oz as well just in case.
I simply mean that it takes away some of the challenge and risk, I still enjoy it though.
Its called laying off FT. Covering ones arse, if it all turns to a ball of shite!
Anyway FT give us your tip for the Melbourne Cup.
and you can bet on both outcomes on every game in the world at the TAB...so its no different...
You are a kind and generous fellow Gerry.
Without trying to dob in anyone else who may have had v1000 on each outcome (coughJKcough) is it v1000 per event or v1000 per outcome per event? ie an event with three betting options, am I allowed to place three v1000 bets?
My understanding was that if you betted more than v1000 per event that the vBookie called his vhorse head retailer and took everything being wagered by that Member?

Betting on a Horse that can be manipulated by the jockey is a mugs game TLH![]()
It is actually a maximum of v$1000 per outcome, no limit per book.Originally Posted by Burgs

Sorry JK, nothing personal, yours just happened to be the latest case of it.
No more bets of v900-v90-v10 for me anymore then!
I can rip into losing far more than that!!!
