Hansie,
I went down to watch my friend's son play for Soaks against Nedlands last season only to find that the Nedlands team had folded and defaulted. Hence my comment re Under 20's.
I believe the issue is has the pendulum swung and what is the likelihood of Nedlands having an Under 16 , 18 or 20's side this year and in the foreseeable future? Is the damage at Nedlands Juniors irrepairable? Your comments Hansie?
"3 years ago, we found an amazing person to take on Junior Co-Ordinator role and he formed an amazing committee, In 2012 we will grow from about 30 players 5 years ago to 150 this year."
I understood that amazing chap who has resurrected your lower junior ranks was from Palmyra?
Perhaps you should do the right thing by Fulvio and give them a Night Game to thank them?
Happy to answer your questions:
Junior co-ordinator announced at last committee meeting last week that numbers to field an under 16 are looking very positive. Juniors future looks great. Finally we will have family friendly club rooms, warm showers and enough change rooms to allow us to field a women's team.
Under 18 is still a tough one to call for us, we have been told this and that by so many young men, that we cannot commit at this stage in 2012. FYI - last year we were so sure we would field an under 18 we donated the team rego fee to RugbyWA and lost it.
Under 20's do look good. Last year our under 20's began the season very well, at the July Holiday stage it all went pear shaped. Some boys were promoted up into Reserve and Premier Grade, some came back in holiday mode and stayed in Holiday mode. So, we did play Soaks in the beginning of the season but couldn't come up with numbers for the final 3 or 4 games.
Anyway, we'll all know tomorrow night if there'll even be an U/20's comp. this year.
Yes he was from Palmyra some 6 or 7 years ago.
As I have said on a previous thread. If our whole club can play together under lights, we'll be there. Fulvio should do the right thing and think of his whole club and not just Premier Grade.
"All club teams together " is the lamest piss weak bullshit you've ever come up with , Hansie.
Apart from that, we're all entitled to our views, and I'll respect them, whether I agree or not.
Hansie, offered for nothing, don't make Palmyra's mistake in 1998 and believe in "build it and they will come" in respect of your new clubrooms.
They won't.
we are only upgrading them to make it more welcoming for you Fulvio![]()
Oh, that's ok then.
For a moment I thought you might have been counting the chickens who lay the eggs for poaching.
not before they are hatched( the eggs, that is)
" If our whole club can play together under lights, we'll be there"
Who knows what you are going to get up to in your new clubrooms Hansie.
You are one sick individual!!
& there you are ,rumour monger, left to play by yourself
I do enjoy good-natured, friendly banter.
There is less and less in this thread as the replies come in.
Which is a shame.
put away the whistle Ecky, let the game flow![]()
