What he had a little...
is our world so small now that we question every little thing someone does who is in the public eye... this didn't even have to become a public affair the RAU made it that way... Its crap wowserism at the max, the young lady wanted a trophy f--k and got one... big deal...
He signed a contract, with those rules in it. If he signs a contract, he has to follow the rules, whether, Muddy, you regard it as BS or not. If he doesn't LIKE the rules, he doesn't sign the damn contract. And it's not 'just a guest', if it was 'just a guest' he wouldn't me in all this trouble. It's a poor representation of rugby, and the ARU is 100% right to shred his contract.
A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

No coach the employer should apply their management more discreetly... its ARU JON babble... the guy wasn't even in the 22...
Anyone heard anything about divorce proceedings yet - or is it to soon?

No, we don't question every little thing but we do question when someone puts themselves ahead of representing their country and being faithful to their wife and breaching their contract.Originally Posted by mudskipper
It didn't have to become a public affair until Lote pressed for legal action against the ARU. He made it a public affair.Originally Posted by mudskipper
Its not crap wowserism, its someone making a royally stupid decision and not wanting to face the consequences.Originally Posted by mudskipper
She may well have wanted to get her minute of fame with a rugby player, but as the 'famous' rugby player who had a contract to abide by and an organisation to represent, he should have known better, especially being on his last warning.Originally Posted by mudskipper
He still has a contract with the ARU and NSWRU. Whether he likes it or not he is in the public eye and he was staying in a room paid for by his employer. Just because Stirling isn't in the 22 doesn't mean he isn't associated with the team anymore. He still has a contract, he still has rules to abide by and he sure as hell knows it, just like Lote did.Originally Posted by mudskipper
Stop defending Lote, clearly its getting you no where. None of us are claiming the girl is innocent and was forced into anything, but we're not saying Lote was completely innocent and taken advantage of either. As a fully grown man, he knew what he was getting himself in to, he knew the consequences and he did it anyway. Regardless of the age of the girl he should not have taken her back to his room. If he was so desperate for a root I'm sure there are ways he could have gone about it which didn't put a) his room mate in an awkward position b) the organisation in a compromising position c) his wife left to pick up the pieces and d) himself at the risk of getting his contract torn up.

Don't get me wrong... I do think Lote made a poor decision...
e) make him look so pathetic for picking up a groupie
f) risking embarrassing his kids - heh dad how come you don't play for the Wallabies any more -

Maybe her name should be trotted out through the media as well? Why should she be protected? She was as much a party to this as Lote. Or was some of the settlement hush money from her "big fish" family?
yeah but, nah but, she did nothing wrong (apart from the obvious - going to a hotel room with a mungo, what was she thinking?!) - Lote's the dude who went against his contractual obligations ...
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
yea it is not fair for anyone to get involved in his personal life, but i can see why the ARU has had enough.Originally Posted by mudskipper
I remember a game in Perth in 2005 against the boks when a player that wasnt in the 22 and was actually sitting in the stands had to play due to an injury to Elton Flatley before the game started. I think it was Mark Gerrard that came out of the stands????
