Ryan Cross is likely to be elevated to the starting line-up when Wallabies coach Robbie Deans today names his team for Saturday's Tri-Nations Test against the Springboks.
While Cross is tipped to replace injured centre Berrick Barnes, Deans will also need to find a replacement for lock Nathan Sharpe who has a shoulder injury.
The Wallabies have lost their opening three Tri-Nations matches, but South African coach Peter de Villiers says he is not expecting any radical changes from Australia in Perth.
"We'll see how what will be the make-up of their side," he said.
"You must understand one thing. Internationally it's not that easy to go out of what you are used to doing. So I don't think they can go too far."
