hi guys im really stuck
im doing an online coaching accreditation course for uni but i can't get past these two questions. i've been sitting here for 40 minutes trying to work it out but it never likes my answers. any help is much appreciated.
1 Using questions and challenges is an important part of using a game sense approach. The following are important aspects of using questions and challenges - select True or False for each statement.
- The coach takes into account the participants age, experience and ability level in relation to the complexity of the questions and challenges used.
- Coaches only ask questions at the conclusion of an activity to reinforce what has been learnt during the activity.
- Questions and challenges are used to encourage participants to come up with their own solutions and encourage independent thought.
- The coach asks questions that are open-ended, rather than closed.
2 The following are important steps involved in conducting an activity session - select True or False for each statement.
- Provide clear instructions/demonstrations and organise the participants quickly into the activity.
- Allow adequate time for the participants to practise, while observing and supervising.
- Progress the activity to the next step as quickly as possible to avoid the better participants getting bored.
- Provide a 'running commentary' of continual feedback and tips to the participants.
- Evaluate whether the activity is producing the desired response.
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
Im no coach and am probably dead wrong but I would pick 1. F F T T,2 T T F F T ,
Interested in others thoughts and correct answers
second question was correct. cheers cookie!
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
My answers would be: Q1 true false true false Q2 true true false true true.
But then, I've been known to be wrong occasionally.
From my armchair coaching position I would answer, "Ask the Committee" to all of the above...
At a quick read I would say true to all but 2.3 FA, but even that may not be worded correctly.
"Bloody oath we did!"

Thanks everyone, question 1 ended up being False True True False, and question 2 ended up being True True False False True
Be There. Be Heard. Be The Force Behind The Force
For what it's worth I'd pick
1. TFTF
2. TTFFT
Geez - It'd appear I had the answers and still got Q1 wrong![]()
That's why you're the Coach![]()
"Bloody oath we did!"

Too late, look around, there's a committee of about thirty around here![]()

er, are you Accredited Coach? (or merely certified?)
Do commitee's need to be accredited?
Imagine the test paper...
Using questions is an important part of a comittee, along with knowing how to order the right wine
The following are important aspects of using questions to make a commitee feel justified- select
1) True, 2) False, 3) maybe; or 4) I'm not sure- I'll have to bring it up at the next commitee meeting; for each statement.
- The commitee takes into account the coaches salary, media profile and popularity with players to figure out the questions used.
- commitee only ask questions at the conclusion of a losing game.
- Inquisitions are used to crucify coaches
- coaches coming up with their own solutions and independent thought is frowned upon.
- The commitee asks questions that are ridiculous, frivolous and show their true ignorance.
