Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

There's a fire and its only 2 streets away![]()
Its not too bad at the moment, cant see much between the smoke but I dont think its coming up the hill (where I live) so Im right for now.
Gotta love the bush fire season when you live in the hills. I remember one year trying to put out our back fence and the neighbours fences too by carrying buckets of water up the outside stairs because the fireys couldn't find the track which went behind our house. I tell you what, watching the water bombers swoop 40 m above your is pretty cool until you realise the fire is moving to quick for them.
We have the choppers all the time because there's dam just up the road and State Forrest pretty much everywhere. Fortunately there's a volunteer fire shed just down the road and my bro is a firey there.

I volunteer to put out fires and I love the choppers (or helitacs as fireys know them) when you get drenched by one you know your eyebrows are not getting singhed today...
The QANTAS A380 landed in Perth this morning and is at the international terminal and i believe they are letting people have a look around inside it until 2pm today.
