So we sack the coaches, pay out 18 months worth of wages, go through the process and expenditure of finding a new coaching staff and all this after we are already a couple million in debt? Talk about compounding our problems for no good reason other then to appease an internet nobody?
You right in the head there mate?

For the people that think that Coach Foley should be sacked and or quit sooner rather then later.

I wish to ask you this:

Who should we replace him with?
Who is going to pay for that?
With the same playing roster what difference will your new coach make?

When you lose the changing room nothing else matters.

It's still down at Perry Lakes isn't it, or is it a case of Grand Theft Rugby by Foles

Based on this post I believe we should appoint Foley on a new 10 year contract.

Sport is a results based industry and at the moment the results are lacking. Given Foley's lack of success at the Waratahs when he had every resource under the sun and yet he only maganed 4 wins. His coaching record speaks for itself at the moment, and it's not a good statement.

The biggest problem I've seen with the team over the last 2 years has been attitude or the lack of it.
This is, in my opinion, the job of the head coach. To ensure the players and team have the correct mind set.
If the coach can't do that, then it's time for a new coach.

So you really are Mark Sinderberry. Or perhaps Mrs Foley as you seem to know so much

The best solution at this time would be for Foley to remain (coaching director) but to bring in a top notch attack coach who can tinker with the playing style. I don't think the current assistants are up to scratch at Super Rugby, or perhaps it is a case of them being held back and not able to implement their vision and show their true ability?

Either way the Force needs to re-evaluate where they are going. The whole team and organisation needs an injection of excitement to energize the fans and the rugby brand here. There are plenty of sporting teams that have been consistent basket cases for years that have reinvented themselves with smart business moves, clever recruitment and a rejig of the brand.

Someone in charge needs to come up with a plan for a radical transformation and get that vision rolling and it needs to be a vision that people will buy into and will attract some big names to the West (both coaching & player). Whether anyone currently at the Force or Rugby WA is that visionary person is probably doubtful.

Mary must be heading to Centerlink then. Worst attacking start to a season since the Bluebags in 1972.

Sorry. Couldn't let it past. Dead set.

At the end of the day I think this link tells the story.

    http://www.rugbywa.com.au/team-membe...coaching-staff

We only have 1 coach with any sort of decent credentials (Foley) and he is a forwards coach not a head coach.

Wessels and Foote seem to be specialist defence coaches as well so we have 2 defence coaches and a forwards coach trying to coach a team to play expansive rugby, not gonna happen!

Apart from the fact we should have rolled the Rabble we've had a tough start to the season.

    Brumbies: last season made finals
    Hurricanes: last years minor premiers
Chiefs: head and shoulders the form team of the comp
    Highlanders: reigning champs
Reds: beat them as we should have

Given that we are working with a squad that was assembled for up to $2million less than the Brumbies, Reds and Waratahs i think we are going ok. Sure we all want to be undefeated and a genuine title contender but having to start at a disadvantage in terms of recruitment dollars, little to no help from the ARU to establish the Future Force, declining sponsorship dollars and an east coast media driven destabilizing agenda we remain competitive and are still improving on our performances. We have a record number of WA bred talent in and around the squad and have a self funded academy. We may lose a young WA player to another franchise every now and then but so does every team lose talented young players to their rivals. Dwayne Nestor may not be everyones favourite guy but hes committed to the cause and has done the hard yards and has produced some talent. In reality we are not going to produce 10 new Wallabies a year as some expect but the important thing to remember is that the pathway is there and young players are getting the best opportunity afforded to them. Some people blame the board but no one seems to remember these people, except Sinderberry, do not draw a wage from RugbyWA. They are volunteers who are fighting for the Forces survival so we can have professional rugby in this state for which our young players can aspire to. The board is trying to run a business that is quite disadvantaged compared to other franchises and has limited revenue streams from a business model forced upon them by the ARU. Also, all board positions are contestable at the AGMs if you are willing and able.
Things aren't as bad as some make it out to be. As ive said before most of the complaining comes from the disgruntled few who are looking for a sympathetic ear to feel validation. As ive also said before, if you can do better than put your hand up for a position within RugbyWA.
Im not saying you do not have a right to an opinion, what im saying is that there is more to the situation than i think you realise.
