SCANTILY clad females will bust out their footy skills in a television first for Australia.
Channel Seven has confirmed a new broadcast agreement in which a lingerie football competition will air nationally on 7mate.
The premiere season of the Legends Football League Australia will include all eight regular season matches of the new Australian women's gridiron competition and championship match.
The series is a template of the wildly popular lingerie competition in the US.
The Victorian Maidens are among the nationwide line up including teams from Western Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.
Melbourne's AAMI Park will be used to host at least one of the matches.
Seven's head of sport, Saul Shtein, said the lingerie footy was best suited to its digital audience.
"The LFL has developed a great fan base here in Australia and we feel 7mate is the perfect fit from an audience perspective for this emerging and entertaining sport," he said.
LFL Global founder Mitchell Mortaza said the broadcast partnership would help open doors.
"We have proven that there is a great audience for LFL in Australia,'' he said.
The premiere season of the Legends Football League Australia is set to air exclusively on 7mate starting on December 14.
