QUEENSLAND prop Rodney Blake has been called in to train with the Australia Rugby World Cup squad while Guy Shepherdson receives treatment for a knee injury.

Shepherdson has a swollen knee but Wallabies officials say he will leave for France with the rest of the 30-man squad on Thursday.

He will not take part in any of the side's three training runs in Sydney this week, with shadow squad member Blake filling one of the tight-head roles.
