His comment after the play "As soon as it happened, I was, like, where the hell did he come from?" Rocca laughed. "But it's fine. If that's the best he's got, good luck to him."

You see Larry, Sav learnt his art at that fine estabilshment over here (well Melbourne really, where they really love their sport!) known as The Collingwood Football Club ("good ol Collingwood for ever"), they're a hard mob The Pies, and as you can gather by Sav's comment after the hit, he's big boy that can certainly handle a little bump like that, illegal or not!

Well the whole city of Philadelphia is pulling for him to make the team. So far I guess it's pretty even. Sav can kick longer and higher but I guess he's not as consistent as the other kicker.

Legalities aside, that's a pretty decent hit!
Always worse when the recipient isn't prepared for it though.

It was about a 65 yard punt which is great by NFL standards. An average punt is under 50 yards. They measure them from where the ball is snapped not from where they kick it from. According to reports from training camp his hang time, (the amount of time the ball is in there air) averages about a second longer than most punters too.

Most punters just kick and get out of the way. The whole city is waiting for Sav to run down and crush somebody after the kick. Hopefully that will be tonight at the first home game.
