Should he stay loyal to Union that has sacked him or should he ply his trade to the highest bidder, no matter what the situation is?
ABC poll

Brother Gallagher I hear you
As much as i dislike the man, he has chosen a career as a coach, and this is his choice. And to be fair, the ARU haven't been exactly chummy with him, so he really doesn't owe them much at all, so i say adios' amigos' and goodluck in the future, (apart from working against the Wallabies)....
ps, Just try to stop your whinging, it will make you a better person...
Voting on ABC site is 47% yes, 53% no (350 votes) pretty even really...

Can we have another option
Whilst Eddie Jones was Wallabies Coach he efficiently and effectively emptied out the Wallabies Trophy cabinet.
Exactly what advantage is the Springboks going to get from him?

With his record it's a shame he not coaching the Kiwis
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Just how much of this 'furore' is media spin? Or is he just catching up with his former adversary & mate, Jake White, en route to Europe for his new coaching position?
Its a hard call really. Eddie has been shafted royally but he is his own worst enemy. I could handle him helping out a Pacific Nation team or Portugal, Nambia, USA etc but not a rugby power like the Boks. Obviously he has personal issues to address and narky with the ARU.
the punters friend..... stick with me and you will be wearing
i agree - he must have serious issues with the aru to help out a team like south africa. just imagine the inside info he would have on the wallabies, especially considering how many reds made the team... but at the same time he doesnt owe anything to australia anymore but a respectful man wouldnt have made the decision he has! so in my mind he has made the wrong decision
For me it comes down to ethics. As the immediate past Wallabies coach, is it ethical to take on a coaching position with a top tier nation before the World Cup.
On the issue that he has inside knowledge about the Wallabies game plan, the Wallabies know how Eddie coaches and what he could be telling the Boks.
Could there be an option in the poll ::: Who cares, at least he's buggered off.

Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

Does that say that TWF'ers generally take a more balanced view or that we've simply got more Saffas hangin' around here.Originally Posted by frontrow

Or Shasta - perhaps our tolerance and balanced view comes from a deep, intrinsic undestanding of the mysteries of rugby...
Or we don't give a stuff about old 'has beens'
What rubbish...I had started to type a long response to this but somehow lost the will to live. I would suggest the balanced percentage in this poll only goes to show that there are a lot of people (idiots maybe?) who live by double standards, who would wish a restriction of trade on EJ but would never agree that they in turn should ever be prevented from changing jobs and working for their current employers rival. Good luck to the man, glad to see he is in employment and doing what he enjoys...sour grapes to those who would wish to see him given the choice of a wallabies job or none at all!
What he says! (i.e. Flat-top above - can't find the upwards pointing smile!)
PS decisive fellow that No.8!
