    Tonga names 40-man squad

    TONGA has named a 40-preliminary man squad, including 28 overseas-based players, to prepare for the Rugby World Cup in France.
    The squad will be cut to 30 players "within the next few days", Tonga Rugby Union said.
    The omitted players will remain in Tonga as reserves.
    Halfback Sikuti Vunipola, center Epeli Taione and wing Sam Satui are based in Australia, while the squad also includes four players based in New Zealand.
    Lock Inoke Afeaki, who captained Tonga at the 2003 tournament in Australia, has been included in the squad and will vie for the captaincy with hooker Aleki Lutui.

    Tonga's Preliminary Squad:

    Toma Toke, Mosese Moala, Taufa'ao Filise, Tevita Taumoepeau, Soane Tonga'uiha, Sateki Mata'u, Ephraim Taukafa, Aleki Lutui, Feki Moala, Paino Hehea, Inoke Afeaki, Lisiate Fa'aoso, Sione Kalamafoni, Emosi Kauhenga, Otenili Langilangi, Hale T Pole, Finau Maka, Viliami Vaki, Chris Hala'ufia, Samiu Vahafolau, Lotu Filipine, Soane Havea, Enele Taufa, Sikuti Vunipola, Pierre Hola, Fangatapu Apikotoa, Tevita Tu'ifua, Movete Oto'ota, Epeli Taione, Kaiongo Tupou, Hudson Tonga'uiha, Suka Hufanga, Siua Taumalolo, Sam Satui, Ualosi Kailea, Seti Kiole, Aisea Havili, Viliami Hakalo, Vunga Lilo, Sione Tu'ipulotu.

    That Epeli Taione is a great big centre, Sam Satui is as fast as and Hale T Pole is a big boy.
    T Pole plays for the Highlanders doesn't he?
    Satui is a Brothers Boy and has played for Australia Under 19's.
    Taione can also play on the flank and the wing as he did for the Newcastle falcon in 2000/2001.
    Pierre Hola has been around for a bit, a 6 footer and 100kg's played in 2003 world cup. They could really caused England problems!!!
