well a name rights sponsor has been announced :
ET MINING HIRE AND SALES ANNOUNCED AS PERTH SPIRIT NAMING RIGHTS SPONSOR
WA based mining machinery firm ET has been announced as naming rights sponsor of the Perth Spirit for the upcoming Mazda Australian Rugby Championship.

The sponsorship contract will be for two years. The team will be known as the ET Perth Spirit.

ET began operations in Kambalda in 2002 before moving to Perth in 2005. The company’s core business is hire and sales of underground machinery and fixed plant to the mining industry.

ET have a number of valued high profile clients Australia wide, including BHP, Barrick and Lion Ore.

“We are delighted to be the major sponsor of the Perth Spirit,” ET Managing Director Ray Curtis said.

“We have a strong relationship with rugby, and as a West Australian company, being associated with the black and gold of WA is something we’re very proud of.”

RugbyWA Chief Executive Peter O’Meara said having ET on board was the perfect fit for the new team.

“ET have been a part of the RugbyWA sponsorship family since the beginning of 2007, and we see strong parallels in the direction of the two organisations,” O’Meara said.

“Both ET and the Spirit are young in their field, proudly West Australian, and even share the black and gold colours of our State.”

The ET Perth Spirit will kick off their Mazda Australian Rugby Championship campaign against the Western Sydney Rams at Members Equity Stadium on Friday 10 August.
