Thumbs up Dunning and his MOM performance

In my opinion, last night i watched one of the greatest performances from Matt Dunning ever, perhaps one of the best prop forward games i have seen in years....
I know i have bagged Donut relentlessly in the past as being out of his depth and pretty much a has-been, but last night he played his arse off, and i gladly eat my Humble pie as a tribute to my choice for MAN OF THE MATCH for the Wallabies...
He didn't lose at the scrum engagement, he was everywhere in defence, he was picking and driving like a smith or waugh, he cleaned out rucks like a bulldozer....Generally he was best on ground and impressed the sh*t out of me...This is what we need to see more of, so take notice Baxter, you could take a leaf out of Dunnings book...

I thought he was outstanding last night, the effort was there in the perth test too so I'm hopeful this is some sign of consistant performances to come.

I stand by my comments in relation to his performance, frontrowers don't often get the recognition they deserve and when a performance such as Dunnings last night comes along, well, i give credit where credit is due...
It isn't about the FRU, it is about the work that goes on without the glare of the spotlight, which is a frontrowers lot...Last night dunning stole that spotlight, In MY honest opinion...

I can safely say he surprised me with his efforts last night, when he stole that ball from Steinkamp (or whatever his name is) that was brilliant. A good game all round for him

Hey fellers, just remember you heard this first from me! I said last week after the Fiji game that the dumpling was harder and leaner this year.

    Nice bite frontrow
I'll give him runner up to Sharpie, but a very commendable effort none the less.
Totally agree that specifically Frontrowers and then Forwards in general don't often get the recognition they deserve though.

yea your right frontrow. i would give him and sharpie best forwards on the pitch.

frontrowers and halfbacks dont get the recognition they deserve.

gregan had a blinder last night, he was very consistant and chose the best option all night.

Im no Fatty fan but he was very good last night. Perhaps he has cranked up a gear and willl prove his doubters wrong. Best performance of our forwards for a bloody long time. Trestle is still a wasted space and Shepherdson will make Tighthead his own.

    Appreciate it burgs.

I take my hat off to Dunning. I think he put in a solid performance last night as did pretty much every one of the forwards. They were apparently going to get destroyed by the Saffa forwards but they held their own against them. I'm stoked.

Well Frontrow you were spot on he was also my man of the match to. His play all around the ground was awesome and scrummaging could not be faulted. Yes all props around the country need to look at the replay and know what is expected from them at this level of the game.

    Tight 5 were great

I can't pick an absolute standout however I thought the tight 5 were onto it. I was worried before the game but they had a blinder. Well done boys.

In all fairness to the FrontRow-er from the Boks that had the ball ripped from his hands by Dunning - at that same time he was having his knee tweaked sooo hard he had to be assisted from the field. So that particular play was a "group" effort.
