    McIsaac and Force snubbed again

Isn't it awesome to know that there is so much depth in Australian Hooking stocks that the first pick Hooker for the Force, with eight Test Caps in '06, not only is unable to make the 30 man Wallabies Squad but can't even get a late call up for the Australia A's to replace Jeremy Paul!?
Looks like Australia is going places this year if that's the kind of depth we have to boast.
Really disappointed with Mitchell that he has only been able to have no better than the sixth best Australian Hooker though, how terrible for the Force!

I nominate Tai to tear several players to bits during the ARC!!!

Hardman Wins Australia A Call Up after Paul Withdraws through Injury

    May 21, 2007 - 5:26pm
    Story by: ARU

Queensland Reds hooker Sean Hardman will join Australia A in camp in Sydney on Monday afternoon after the withdrawal of Jeremy Paul through injury. Paul failed a fitness test on his injured right shoulder after joining the squad on Sunday and will miss Australia A’s iRB Pacific Nations Cup opener against Tonga at Aussie Stadium.

“Jeremy’s been managing an AC joint injury for the better part of a month and unfortunately it was very inflamed when he presented in camp yesterday,” Australia A Medical coordinator Warren McDonald said. “He’ll have a scan in the next couple of days and a further decision on management of the injury will be made after that.”

Australia A head coach Laurie Fisher said Hardman is a worthwhile replacement given his form and level of experience. “Sean’s a guy who’s been around a long time and he brings a great deal of experience to what is a relatively young side,” Fisher said. “His composure and leadership will be a bonus for us both in this game and the series as a whole.”

The Australia A squad trained for the first time this morning at Coogee Oval, with all players coming through unscathed. The team to play Tonga will be announced Tuesday morning.

You are not alone - spent all of Sunday looking at the 2 squads and can't make head nor tail of it - unless someone has a place bet on

Actually when you sit back and look at it ......

    Tai McIssac 32
    Hardman 30
    Paul 30
    Frier 27
    Polata-Nau 26
    Moore 24

The 27yo will still be about for the next world cup while the 24 will be hitting straps.....

Hopefully the 27 yo WON'T be Gerry

Totally happy with Polota-Nau and Moore to be our main two and Faingaa pushing them in four years but we have a RWC to get through this year first!
