    Crouch, Touch, Pause, Engage

Friday nights ref - all refs were given instructions from above to say crouch, touch, pause, engage for a scrum. The latest instruction for this weekend was to say touch and pause as one word (touchpause) to speed up the scrums. All other refs over the weekedns games did this instruction this ref did not do this. Any thoughts?

During the Highlanders game it was down to, touch pause engage, then a minute later it was crouch touch engage.

Another example of inconsistency - within games and across competition.

Sadly, the whole year so far has been a shambles in regards to the refereeing...

Too right we did, headbutts and uppercuts flying...Then came the cotton wool, and now it is getting more and more regimented...the law makers need a good dose of HTFU...Now, back in Gary Mickles early years his mate William webb ellis picked the ball up and ran with it, hehehe...

that would be heaps quicker but try getting the s14 forwards to set there own scrum

i think the scrums are alot more complicated now thats why all these rules are in. now they wheel scrums alot and collapse them on pupose. i hope they find out a way to speed it up i get annoyed with them sometimes. that stupid ref should have listened. my friends brother was the 6th ref and he said that the ref wasnt a nice guy and he had nothing nice to say. i think he is a member on this site (king Andy)

If the refs gave one warning = One re-set = To Be consistant = Good scrums
    Simple as that no problems.
