Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.

hehe I thought exactly the same thing . No Henjak, no McIsaac.......though the latter doesn't surprise me. The fourteen who have been given a chance are all deserving, and hopefully most of them are named in the 30-man squad!!

I remember last year that Josh Valentine was overlooked for the train on squad but drafted into the final squad...maybe the same will happen for Henjak?

That squad will definitely change, guys like Kanaar and Greg Holmes will get their chance from the ARC... I mean if Sheehan can make the squad, anyone can.

I see this list as the beginning of a slow crucification of McKenzie - i.e. they are saying that he has the player base but is doing nothing with it.

The other interesting thing to watch is where will he play Cross, Stanners, Junior, Sheps and most of all Mitchell - many many people have said all season that Sir John is playing these people out of their best positions.

Gitts my money is on him playing 9 with the occasional appearance at 12.

Jak so deserves to be there - he has worked so hard and put up with more than his fair share of "negative comments/ some justified" and turned it around this year.

The biggest thing for a fan as opposed to a fan like most of you is whether the lads gain something from this - maybes a different set of peps yelling at em will help them become more consistent, do the little things right get a better feeling for when to do a Richie McCaw - and make them better for next year

And as John Mitchell obviously forsaw last week ....no Matt Henjak.

    Very unwise move Wallabies.

Blind Pugh can see that, considering his opposition, he should have a chance at the No2 halfback position so its obviously not a decision which was based on Henjaks ability.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

I don't really see that, Sage. There's only about 3 weeks between the start of the ARC and the RWC. The final squad will probably have to be announced at the completion of the Tri Nations at the end of July, i'd imagine.

Yeah sorry, you're right. The timing of the ARC is probably too late, but I'm still certain that squad will change.

I have no idea what D Mitchell is doing in that squad. If the Force had another game to play surely he would benched or dropped. I don't think he would be an automatic choice in Sydney first grade. He can't kick (but wants to play fullback) he can't catch (but wants to play fullback) and he is too light to be effective in defence. He is not a Super 14 player and the fact that J Mitchell kept him at 15 for the season has robbed the Force badly. Add to that Spanner played out of position in all but one game and the Coach has to take a large portion of the blame for what has be considered a disappointing season.
