It's almost as though Phil Kearns selected the team!

Its obvious why there are so many Tahs in there, we are the best team in the S14, by quite a margin.

So... How bout those Wallabies selections?
Congratulations to the Force players for making the squad, especially Brown, Vedelago and PocockOriginally Posted by Thequeerone
I think Henjak and McIsaac deserved positions above some of the others. Too many Reds.

You have to say that the Reds were abysmal (and many might question how nine of their members have made it into the 59-man Australia trial squad). Matt Garrett
FOXSPORTS.com.au's resident Jaapie is quietly grinning at the thought of a South African side winning the 2007 Super 14 title ... well, not that quietly.
The truth of the matter - ALL four Australian teams are in poor shape, with the Brumbies being the best of a bad lot - but they will probably slide with pending retirements. Qld and NSW are basket cases, and the Force, while improved, have shown on the back nine, just how weak they really are. I fear that the million dollar backline, may have played its best rugby in the first half of 2007. All up, Australian Rugby is in deep deep trouble. The absurdity of a 59 man squad (regardless of where they are from) just beggars belief. The real question is whether the Wallabies will even be able to make it out of the pools.
No the real question is whether the selectors are up for a bit of "new blood" in some positions, or whether they'll stick with the status quo. The "status quo"Originally Posted by tic

The All Blacks have been talked up to lay down misere status, but I'm not having a bit of it. The South Africans are at least their equals. If The Wallabies can get enough of our top performers back from their "enforced re-conditioning" they won't be too far off the pace either. We've plenty of great players to get one great side together, even if we can't get four of them - yet.
I Believe we do have the talent in Australia, we just need to pick the best team, TEAM being the operative word...Playing people in the position they are specialized in is a good start, not this bullsh*t of different combos all the time, we tried that last season and look where it got us...To be any chance we need tostart with a settled and comfortable playing group who can work well with each other, no individuals who believe they are above the team, not naming anyone in particular...I know we will get through the pool stages, how far we go is why we need to set the foundations now...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
