Vote for who you feel should be the next Wallaby Coach, not who you think will be chosen.

David Nucifora for me as he was by far the best coach in Australia when he was with the brumbies, and he got them to a premiership amidst a lot of turmoil...That said, he probably has a few current players who hold a grudge against him or for whatever reason dislike him, but after RWC i believe most of those players would have moved on and a new breed of Wallabies will have taken the reins, so he would basically have a clean slate to begin with...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
I have a slant towards Nucifora or Deans with a mind to a NZ RWC in 2011.
Nucifora does have some baggage but he is an Aussie with now vast NZ experience and it appears that he has finally got the under achieving Blues firing.
Deans record is undisputable and if you are going for the best performing Coach regardless of Nationality then he would have to be your man.
I think with all the crap that is going down between the ARU and QRU/NSWRU an outside Coach may be just the tonic to get on with the job without any agenda or perceived bias.
So, on balance, my vote goes to Deans.

I'm voting other because I don't really care who takes his place as long as "Our John" has taken the Force to the finals by 2009, then he'll be our Coach for RWC 2011.

Yeah mate, Knuckles ends after the last Wallabies World Cup match and they are going to appoint someone sooner than later, possibly even before the tournament.

so he is going to be replaced no matter what the results are at year end?

Yep, pretty sure he has driven it too. That's when the contract runs out and he is choosing not to go again.
Pretty strange really having had to wait so long to finally get selected but that's the way it goes I guess.

wow - the ARU have some serious issues.. if australia comes back with the world cup, it must be a really shitty job to not want to keep going.

Waht about Sir Clive?
Just happy to be here
From what I know of when Connolly was appointed he only wanted a contract to the end of the World Cup.
There's no David Campese option?
This is not really a good option. Hopefully the ARU will be able to ask him to stay on a bit longer after a good performance by the Wallabies in France. Currently I'd plump for Nucifora to take The Wallabies to 2011 but I'd like to see him have at least 2008 and preferably 2009 still at Auckland.Originally Posted by Burgs

Almost needs a relationship like the Graham Arnold-Guus Hiddink relationship if Nucifora is to be a delayed WC choice, appointing a development Coach for the first couple of years.
Fairly sad reflection of our sport if we need a development Coach at International level though.
I am more in favour of a four year Coach developing the Squad throughout the period to his master plan and with the co-operation of the four S14 Coaches. This business with the likes of Giteau, Shepherd and Staniforth etc is counter productive and disruptive to our chances.
Still Deanes for me with Nucifora second choice.
