    ANZAC Day

    With the dawn service rapidly approaching us, and with some TWF'ers heading to Sydney for it I'm wondering what others are planning on doing ?

    It also came out in conversation this morning that with the popularity of ANZAC day and the next generation eager to march in place of the last, that the old song "And the Band played Waltzing Matilda" had a pretty pessimistic view with the line "soon no-one will march there at all". I'm glad it isn't true!!

    8am Service at Leederville Sporting Club (Quiz Night Venue) followed by fully cooked breakfast at bowlo ($10) plus two up.

    Noon Bowls comp for ANZAC Shield and Collingwood v Essendon on big screen!

    Jedi actually not a bad spot to make a run up to "Hellfire Pass" for the Dawn Service....if you cant ever make Galllipoli then "hellfire" is just as moving and sombre..
