I was following the text updates off the rugby.com.au website here at work and it got to 70 minutes and it was still 1 point in it.
I decided to duck down to asda and get some lunch and missed the end of the game deliberately because I knew that I would get a little tetchy if I was sitting here "watching" the match at the end and we had lost again... so coming back to our first win at home is a good start to the rest of the day and this boy is going to be partying here in Kendal tonight...

Unbelievable!!! The first game I'm missed since there first trial match last year and they bloody well win!!! I've been deperately trying to watch the match in Melbourne but couldn't get Fox 3 so had to settle for looking at the live score on the force website and texts from mates at the game!! Well done boys!! Really wish I'd been there!!!! (Understatement of the century!!) Have a few drinks down at JB's for me!!

The GREAT thing was that even after the ref awarded the 'Canes a "no try" with only a few minutes on the clock they remained calm, professional and played it out. They could easily have dropped their heads. Reminds me of the Wallabies of a few years ago. The happy knack of winning the close, tough ones.
You can bet they'll have learned a lot tonight. They should be able to build on that experience now. Maybe they'll be able to win a couple of close ones against a kiwi side or two when they get the other halves of their teams back.

HOWEVER I would really rather we won comfortably than leaving it 'til after the full time siren. Call me old fashioned, but my heart can't take too much of that stuff........

Unsung Hero time, Matty Henjak you played a beauty of a game tonight until levelled by one of many cheap shots, Drew Mitchell, Great counter and only one hiccup in defense, brilliant, Junior Pelesasa, finally showing the form the Mitch has persisted for, Scotty Fava Tough, Hard Uncompromising, The Entire Front Row, (you guys got the job done, where was Boof's game winning Try) Mat Giteaus, the engineer of the whole thing, a real general on the park, God I could go on and on, Did Scotty Daruda make the field?
