    Mexican Wave

I noticed the Blue Crew continually trying to get the Mexican Wave going tonight?

    What are you thoughts??

It's only for the really slow part of the game - or when your team is doing really badly wasn't appropriate last night

i dont really care about the wave but was not happy with the blue crew -

They sung the barmy army's most famous song - "Everywhere We Go"

i couldnt believe it - come up with some original songs or forget the concept completely.....what a joke!

The Blue Crew are too far away from me to be relevant. A mexican wave is OK when there is nothing happening on the pitch, but by the time it makes its way around the game could have restarted and the wave dies. I don't mind it, but don't boo me if I don't participate because play's on.

    I agree with Tragic.

If the game isn't a close one and the pace of it all is a bit slow then that's the only time a mexican wave could ever get the momentum it needs to actually make it once around the oval.

There is nothing more annoying than someone trying to get a wave going when there's only one point in the game and there has been a huge build up of phases and it's looking like someone has to score any second now.

When that's the case, watch the rugby and wave later.

I found them(the Blue Crew) irritating to - not sitting anywhere near em again - prefer listening to the guy 3 rows behind telling the lads what to do

Dunno how old you are Luke but that song has been around a lot longer than the Barmy Army. I remember the Karratha Roosters team singing it in the sheds after every win in the early '80's. They had plenty of them and I heard most from the other room.

It's good to have a cheer squad ( I woulda said "& cheerleaders" - but I wouldn't wanna start that again)
But they need to have someone leading them who understands the ebb and flow of the game a little better. That way they would be OK and the wave would be too.

I happened to notice the The Blue Crew were trying to start up waves at completely inappropriate times. You're right Shasta maybe a bit of direction for them would help. It would drive me insane to be sat anywhere near them and i would probably end up ramming their thunderstix up their thunderboxes if I did, however I am nowhere near them so live and let live.

OH and BTW Shasta I'm not sure but gauging by what I have seen of his posts LTP is but a child.

You'll just have to get the crew in 308 more organised TEF

308? I've just realised that myself and the Beloved have managed to find ourselves in the same block as a bunch of you guys! Geez. I'm slow.

i think you need organised groups like the blue crew , getting behind your team is good and if you dont like the wave then sit and watch the game .its only a second of action that someones arms might get in your way and the way yesterdays second half went maybe you might have missed the only piece of action there was ....
