Here is a little more from that interview that is not on that link:

Fellow flanker Jerry Collins has not yet started weight training because of surgery last month to an injured shoulder.

Collins has been keen to play as often as possible in the past but said he was enjoying the conditioning window.

" The leagies finish in November or end of October and have a good two or three months which is a real pre-season," he said.

"Every sport has it, they have a two-three month window, whereas the last couple of years our guys have got three weeks off and spend the last two weeks before Christmas and New Year getting ready for the following year."

Collins agreed a shorter season and a good pre-season period were vital.

"Personally I reckon you should have the window. They need to sort our season out because we've got three different competitions going on at three different times," he said.

"It would be nice to play a solid 26 weeks and then people wouldn't be complaining that there's too much footie.

"But these things probably won't happen while I'm playing."
