G'day All!

The new year has well and truly started, and a new Super 14 season is just days away. Hope you all stayed safe over Christmas!

Let's not get caught up in idle chatter - bring on the rugby:

Western Force -v- Crusaders
Force went down 28-12 in their trial match against the Crusaders in Melbourne on the weekend. At three quarter time the scores were 12-14 to the Crusaders with 1st quarter tries to Ryan Cross and Cameron Shepherd for the Force. Lots of player changes in the final quarter failed to produce any more points for the Force, but being a trial match it was more about what John Mitchell saw on the paddock than on the score board. All in all a satisfactory result against the 2006 champions - I'm looking forward to the April 7 game against them in Christchurch!

Western Force -v- Manu Samoa
Western Force take on Manu Samoa at Members Equity Stadium this Thursday 25th January. Gates open at 5:30pm, kick off at 7:05pm. There are still plenty of great tickets available. So get on down and support our boys! It will also be our first chance to see Matt Giteau pull on the Force jersey in Perth. Members Equity is a great venue for watching Rugby - be sure to get on down there and check it out. tickets available from TicketMaster on the web www.ticketmaster.com.au or call them on 1300 136 122.

Western Force -v- Highlanders
Too much Rugby is barely enough! First game is only 11 days away, but you all already know that! Looking for a place for pre-game drinks - head on to J.B. O'Reilly's - an easy walk from Subiaco Oval, and the West Leederville and Leederville train stations on the Joondalup and Fremantle lines.

TWF Super 14 Tipping
We're in the final stages of getting our Super 14 Tipping ready for release on TWF. It *should* be operational by the weekend! It will be free and open to all active members of TWF. Be sure to drop by and check it out. Might even be able to sneak some Six Nations tipping in there for those interested!

www.TWF.com.au
Want to tell your mates about TheWholeForce.com but stumble on remembering the web address? www.TWF.com.au will now take you directly to TWF also. As always, healthy debate rages about all things rugby (and many things not rugby) in the forums, you are all welcome to add your two bobs worth.

That's all for now folks, here's to a cracker of a season!

C'arn the Force!
