Tickets for the 2007 Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series, which sees the Qantas Wallabies playing five home Tests against Wales, Fiji, South Africa and the All Blacks, will go on sale in mid-March and are priced from just $18.00 for Children and $35.00 for Adults.
For the Bledisloe Cup Test against the All Blacks in Melbourne and the Test against Fiji in Perth, tickets will go onsale from 9.00am local time on Wednesday 14 March 2007.
For all other matches, including two tough Tests at Telstra Stadium in Sydney, against Wales and the Springboks, as well as a second Test against Wales in Brisbane, tickets will go on sale on Wednesday 14 March, from midday AEDT.
Rugby fans in Sydney will receive a 10 per cent discount if they buy Silver or Bronze tickets for both Sydney Test matches in the same transaction. Families who take advantage of this offer will see two top international rugby Test matches from $224.
The MCG in Melbourne will host its first Bledisloe Cup encounter since 1998, with Adult tickets starting at $79.00. With tickets for the Bledisloe Test in Brisbane last year selling out in only 25 minutes, fans are urged to book early to avoid disappointment.
Australian Rugby Union Managing Director and CEO Gary Flowers says the 2007 Qantas Wallabies season will prove to be very popular given the representative season culminates with the IRB Rugby World Cup beginning in France in September.
“We open the Bundaberg Rum Rugby Series with Tests against our Rugby World Cup Pool opponents Wales, in Sydney and Brisbane, and Fiji at Subiaco Oval,” said Flowers.
“The Qantas Wallabies will be especially eager to win these Tests and secure bragging rights ahead of the tournament in France”.
“We're very excited that the Bledisloe Cup Test against the All Blacks is returning to Melbourne for the first time since 1998 and we are expecting a great crowd at the redeveloped MCG on June 30.
“The Test against the Springboks at Telstra Stadium in Sydney in early July will be final chance for rugby fans to see the Wallabies play at home before the Rugby World Cup.”
“With five home Tests across four capital cities and tickets from as low as $35.00, there are a number of great opportunities to show your support for the Wallabies this year.”
Family Tickets starting from just $79.00 are also available for each Test match with a family consisting of two adult tickets and two children or one adult and three children.
A number of conditions apply to the purchase of Test match tickets including a maximum of six per customer for the Bledisloe Cup Test in Melbourne, and eight per customer for each of the other four Tests in the series.
Tickets cannot be re-sold above face value. The ARU has the right to deny admission to the holder of the ticket for breach of this condition. Prices are inclusive of GST and booking fees, transaction fees may apply.
Members of the Rugby community will receive an advanced purchase offer in late February.
