The doors aren't closed on them yet....

“This is a preliminary squad that will get together early in the New Year to do full fitness tests and have one-on-one interviews with the coaching staff about the year ahead,” Connolly said. “This is by no means a final squad for the Rugby World Cup.”

I don`t care about that, he is a numbat, his choices are random at best, it may well be preliminary, but imagine what could be learnt and gained by those two if they were attending, now they miss out on this extra stuff, so they will be automatically behind the eight ball from the get go...
I am really peeved about this issue, he so far hasn`t proven he is worth a pinch of salt, and to think i had big wraps on him in the beginning, now he can go and get stuffed...

Brillant 7 force players - and room from some more - GO THE FORCE !
Nice to see Digby get a call up - Am guessing he knows what Scotty can do - he's still looking for his magic combination

Cross, Fava and Tai should be in the squad and watch out for Pocock they nearly picked him in the spring tour squad, if he has a good season he just might be in with a chance. What about MaCkay? Or Henjak? Connelly is a clown; get him out I say...

I have a sneaking suspicion that I didn't use the word "eggs" Boss

Definately a couple of suprises here for sure though I'm sure there are a) his renowned "mind games", b) lingering injuries & c) plenty of opportunities to come from the S14 fixtures.
The Aus v Aus matches are going to be ball tearers this year with virtually all positions up for grabs.
Without injuries, I would think that right now the only positions that may be "secure" would be Vickerman, Larkham, Mortlock, Tuqiri and Latham however, they are all an injury away from being superseeded as well.
I think that we will see at least five from outside of this squad in contention for the final 33 Man RWC Squad.

THank God, McIsaac and Fairbanks have been ommited. However I am very disapointed that Al Baxter is not there. I was hoping Knuckles was going to blast the crap out of him, and some Wallabies were going to crash tackle him. Maybe he will go and play 2nd Division France League Where Tana Umaga can hit him with a hand bag.
