    Valentines "Day"!

Pinched from Dave Hughes' West coloumn cause it's funny!

    Just joshing:

Valentine by name, valentine by nature.
Bidding at a charity banquet at the Wallabies hotel in Dublin was in full swing last week when Josh Valentine walked in with a few teammates.
A date with Miss Ireland was under the hammer and the Queensland scrum-half decided to get a laugh from his mates by making a joke bid.
What he didn't realise was that the room had reached their limit.
The immediate result: a bemused Miss Ireland wondering why the successful bidder looked so horified, and why his friends were paralysed with laughter.
Valentine had to plead with team management for time off to squeeze in the date before the Wallabies left Ireland yesterday.

Even if it is proven to be a gee-up, it justifies me putting these photo's up!!!
Hopefully the correct Miss Ireland....but who cares

Hey Burgs you will be horrified to hear that comes from AL BAXTERS online diary at the RUPA site

    Wednesday 15th: Dublin, Ireland

Today is a training free day for the Test side which is unusual for a Wednesday but things have been moved around a bit because of the Sunday game. As is usual for a training free day most of the guys still have recovery sessions or analysis work to complete before heading out into Dublin for the afternoon.

More importantly though, today is also game day for the Australia A side who are playing Ireland A in Limerick. Just like the weather in Dublin, the weather in Limerick is dreadful with driving wind and rain. The Irish side take an early lead in a scrappy first half but our guys come back in the second with a couple of well worked late tries by Morgan Turinui and Scott Staniforth to win the match 24-17. It’s a solid win against a strong Irish side and is a good performance considering the atrocious conditions.

Another positive that came out of the game in Limerick is Josh Valentine’s generous (albeit accidental) contribution to local Irish charities. The night before the game, in the team hotel, there was an Irish charity event at which the grand auction item was a date with Miss Ireland. The bidding was furious between a number of Irishmen when Josh Valentine walked in, and being the normal smartarse most half backs are, decided he would spice up the bidding by adding himself into the action with a single joke bid. However, little did he realise that the other bidders had reached their limit and his bid, although only a small increase, was sufficiently large that he found himself the unexpected winner of a date with a bemused Miss Ireland who couldn’t quite understand why the successful bidder was so horrified while his friends had fallen to the floor in streams of laughter. Josh is now attempting to negotiate a time in which he can have a date in the 96 hours we have left in the country.

That would have been easier than re-typing it
The big poof didn't include the photo's though.
What will be funnier is to read his pathetic excuses for his pathetic display on Sunday

Burgs sure don't all the Irish girls look that good, I love the way she's wrapped up well for the harsh Irish winter
