This tour will give a better idea of progress being made, and even though he will be trialling people in new positions, failure in the main arena (Test matches) will definately have people sharpening their knives, but in the interests of continuity he will have to be kept in the head coach position, `cause we cannot afford to start someone new at this stage of the game...
I personally think he is breathing new life into the team, as i have mentioned in previous threads relating to the improved skills in the forwards, but also in his decision to mix up the backs roles, as this will give better coverage in case of injuries in the future...I think, i hope, he will surprise a few people come RWC07....

I think its all too confusing, Eddie should have been given the axe AFTER rwc 07, its too late now to bring in new plans etc if they do work it will be pure luck. But no im not pessimistic.

The performance against the Ospreys was a bloody disaster. Players in untried positions. Tonights game will tell us if this can work. My feeling is that Gits will go well at No. 9, I think he would be brilliant anywhere, but I also agree with Mitch that he will serve the Force best at 12. I pray that it all works out against Wales. Go Wallabies.

I think he's been a bit of a shocker really. He came on board as an alledged "set piece expert" yet he's still playing Baxter at loosehead and we're getting massacred up front by all and sundry.

Our backline meanwhile has declined from world class under Eddie to letting through soft tries under knuckles. Eddie had a bad November tour but considering the 20 something players unavailable through injury he did well not to lose any games by big margins.

Connolly has a much softer tour here, if we were playing France he'd be crapping his pants.

Perhaps we should wait ntil after Scotland to judge?
Give him the benefit of the full Tour?
He wouldn't be getting the same vote from me right now that's for sure

I didn't like him from the beginning! It was the gold chain, made him look kind of sleazy. I know what your saying, that shouldn't make a difference to his coaching, and yet the results seem to be in my favour!
Really though, this close to the world cup the positions should be sorted and these should just be warm up games. Really disappointed in the Wallabies so far this tour, but hoping for the best.

    Angry

We have the best inside centre in the World, Matt Giteau, Steve Larkham has been hailed by Rugby experts as one of the best No. 10's to pull on a pair of boots and yet Connelly is still farting around with experiments. For goodness sake, give Sheehan or Valentine the half back spot and put the players in the positions for which they are best recognised.

Puts me in mind of the dark days of Australian Rugby when Greg Smith was in charge. He too experimented to the detriment of our International standing.

Jeremy Paul got it right. Put the players where they belong.

He has done fairly well, my saying is you won't win big Matches with Gregan playing.
