Western Force looking to sign All Black George Bridge. Also looking to lure Taniela Tupou... make of that what you will.

The disturbing part of that article is that Potter might go east! That would be a huge loss, so really hope that's not the case
Bridge would be a good get. Tupou would be another in a long line of props who have been pushed out of their Eastern States side and need to remain in Australia to stay Wallaby eligible (eg, Matt Dunning, Ben Daley, Tom Robertson, HJH). Some have been successful, some not so.

Something to whet the appetite
George Bridge Scores 15 tries in a season
Sadly as he is an out and out winger the Potter rumour is starting to hurt, unless we are moving Potter one in to outside centre![]()

We scrum for posession, run for the try zone, bleed for the team and live for the game
Bridge - sure for depth
Potter - I hope he stays (hopefully not another waiting on RA scenario)
Topou - Would be 4th franchise, didn't want Force a couple years ago, lines back up with BPA, we have struggled at that position. I think Tupou really needs to figure out what he wants.
Happy Burey has re-signed, thought we may of lost him.
If true, both Topou and Potter would be entirely consistent with the Force's role as the Arrivals and Departures lounge. With a bit of last chance saloon thrown in for good measure. It is what makes them palatable to RA, particularly now the Rebels are gone. And a role they seem comfortable with, now they're back in the tent.
I also predict that if Tupou did come to the Force, then all the Australian refs would suddenly get very hot on pushing straight in scrums!

I thought Tupou was heading to Europe on big bucks next year? Can't see how we could compete with that. Maybe the overseas club has taken a good look at his performance with the Tahs this year and has gotten cold feet?
Bridge would be a great get but needs to be as well at Potter not instead.
I am a big Cron fan and think he should get more time with this team but Michael Chieka is moving back to Australia with no job and is a proven winner, could be tempting for the higher powers to make a play for him to come over here?
I couldn't think of anything worse than Cheika.
Cron has been building a team but also keeping a team, so far. I'd like to see this play out and I think a lot of the players are staying due to Cron.
Cheika won back in 2014 and then couldn't look past that team for 5 years as national coach. He inherited Ewans Wallabies in 2015, showed his team in 2019. Didn't care ro look at opposition teams nor look outside of NSW for players.

No spin intended, he did win Super 11 years ago.
A lot of people like Cheika too, I'm not one.
I remember when Dave Rennie became coach the outcry of being NZer and not having an Aussie coach who had come up from the Shute shield. I pointed out that was Cheika and it wasn't the saviour of Aus Rugby
