70.2 FM is a pretty low frequency. My SportsEars has an FM radio function and that doesn't go below 88.
Like Leo we've found that the different earpieces can produce different channels, so I often have to spend the first ~5 minutes checking which channel and which ear gets the best ratio of maximum refs/players and minimum commentary!

Correct, which is why it can't generally be picked up on a regular FM radio. However there are some cheap models out there that work well. I've been using mine for years at HBF and Optus to listen to the officials (and even used one in the UK when they used to have a similar "reflink" setup)
You can pick them up very cheaply. One basic example, which works for 60-108MHz can be picked up for around $15:
