They are not like the force of the last few weeks sadly
Looks like they have stepped up a gear last five minutes
But the ref is crap. Just give him a blue jersey
We have plenty to blame on ourselves, but he doesn't apply the same set of standards to both teams.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Disappointing result with too many errors and slow support for the ball carrier.
Something close to 18 penalties with 11 in a row in the 2nd half.
Looking forward to a recovery in CChurch.
With my untrained eye I saw 2 instances ( there may be more ) one Tupou angling in . Penalty to Tahs …… two deliberate interference with the half back (IFL in this instance ) no action taken …. the match review will be interesting…
Despite the wins Tahs rugby a real struggle to watch. I’m not sure what it is
I was at a function on a property out past Gidgeegannup watching on my phone with patchy 4g and lots of people socialising. I think I was glad of the interruptions.![]()

A tough day at the office for the boys.
I know many are disappointed, however the stats show a lot of hard work went in despite the result.
The Tahs were far better, more disciplined, had better structure, and as you would expect from the Australian "marquee" team their roster is far stronger and skilled.
Our discipline let us us down, and ensured that we did not make the ref our "friend".
Our tight five both starting and off the bench were good around the field, but the core job of scrumming was sadly lacking and were under pressure almost the whole game.
Watching both the men and ladies games I noticed a subtle change to the attacking plays by both and a rush to offload in the tackle. I suspect this is an intentional move to get us closer to the NZ teams style of play. (Possibly an early McDonald suggestion / influence) I believe that with more game together and better support both teams are going to benefit in the long run, but it will need time to bed down especially in a match and not just on the training paddock.
Josh Thompson had a very workman like cameo around the field off the bench.
Tizzano was again a standout.
Nic Champion de Cresigny showed why he is such a good long term signing.
Robbo and Marley really working hard around the field.

I really felt like we were missing the intensity of previous games. They looked tired.
Williams was one who looked like he was walking through the game, which is not like him. Add to that the general skills were down across the board, passes were not sticking, Donno missed kicks, etc.
I do not know what it was, i feel like we never got into the game, and as a result were never going to get over the line.
Williams had a HI protocol stand down last week. I've been a little more concerned with the workload of Throbber in particular and Marley Pearce. They looked off the pace. Maybe a light week for the Crusaders? Hopefully they'll be overconfident.

Berry had a few clangers last week but this ref was diabolical, saying that the Force really need to sort out penalty issues. This was a major problem last season & I was hoping it had been sorted this year, but either the ref was absolute shite or they completely reverted back to old ways. Maybe a week spent on learning how not to be offside would be productive. They knew how the Tahs would play but just didn’t seem to spark, & we know they’re better than that. It’s still a long road, so pegging those issues now would be good.
Thanks for the stats Tazz -it’s great info.
The AR was no help whatsoever Vailanu was a metre in touch and passed the ball in for several advantages and an eventual try.
I thought we were standing up pretty well but the heads dropped pretty badly when so much was missed by the refs (but mysteriously, I didn't see one missed in favour of the Tahs)
Honestly, when Morgan Turinui is saying the Force are hard done by in a Tahs game you know it's bad.
C'mon the![]()
